{I Do} Love Our New Kitchen Furniture!

A few days ago I updated that Chris and I went to Ikea and got a kitchen cart for more counterspace. Here is the most current pic of our purchase (pretty excited). One thing I realized when taking this pic is that we own a lot of green and red…thankfully they are complementary colors!

Also, very excited that tomorrow, Chris will submit his FIRST blog post. Did I mention that I’m very excited?

DIY {I Do}: Painted Dresser as Kitchen Island

Love this idea, and how simple it actually is with a coat of paint and a few extra add-ons.

So here’s how it’s done for less than $200!

{Paper Towel Holder from Sears: $9.59, Ikea Dresser: $129, Hooks: $8}

I know this one doesn’t have a granite counter top, but in order to keep is on the cheap side, you can always keep the white top and stain it with a cutting board stain.

Design {I Do} – Kitchen Tiles

Our current kitchen looks like this:

In order to brighten up the room a bit and provide a back-splash, we’re going to tile the wall from the cabinets down to the granite. Check out some of the colors we’re thinking:
